Founded in 1968, Capilano University is a Public University based in Vancouver, about a 30 to 40-minute drive from the International Airport. The University has a student-oriented culture, and the average class size is 26 or less. 45% of its programs provide Coop and Practicum, and there is an in-school English Academic Purposes department, with many programs offering Conditional LOA. It is also the only university in British Columbia that offers a Bachelor program in Early Childhood Care Education.
Chinese students make up less than 3% of the student population; and 40% of the international students have a GPA of 3.5+. The University provides accommodation with a double room (shared) and meal plan (2 terms per year) at C$9,700; average tuition is C$19,000, plus miscellaneous fees at C$2,000, totaling C$22,000.
The Spring 2025 Post-Bac program is a 16-month program (comprising 8 weeks of practicum) that is still available for students who would like to apply for the Stream A program.
